"Sons and the Kingdom"

From the Mouths of Babes

From our series on the Gospel of Matthew, We look at Jesus' actions and teaching during His last week in Jerusalem

We Want Our Eyes To Be Opened

Jesus Heals the Blind Beggars on the Road from Jericho Matthew 20:29-34 “And as they were going out from Jericho a large crowd followed him. There by the road-side sat two blind men; when they heard that Jesus was going by they shouted out, “Show mercy on us, Lord, Son of David.” The crowd rebuked them and told them to be quiet, but they shouted out even more, “Show mercy on us, Lord, Son of David.” Jesus stopped and called them. “What do you want me to do for you?” he asked. “Lord,” they replied, “we want our eyes to be opened.” Jesus’ heart went out to them and he touched their eyes; and immediately they could see again, and they followed him.”
